Ready

I'm very very very very tired of winter...
I'm ready for sunshine, not clouds.
I'm ready for ice cream, not hot chocolate. (Not that hot chocolate isn't delicious!)
I'm ready for short sleeves, not jackets.
I'm ready for shorts, not jeans.
I'm ready for sandals, not boots.
I'm ready for air conditioning! Not heaters.
I'm ready to be excited for the summer breeze, not the wind chill factor.

I'm ready for summer rain, not frost.
I'm ready to not wake up in the morning and not want to get up because it's so COLD!
I'm ready for swimming, not hot showers. (Although those are very nice...)
I'm ready for star gazing, not hustling inside before I freeze.
I'm ready for games outside, not staying inside and watching movies.
I'm ready to take pictures outside, not wait till the weather won't kill me.

I'm so ready for color! No more white!
I'm ready for flowers, not icicles.
I'm ready for trees to have leaves, no more trees with brittle little fingers.
I'm ready for green grass, not ice.
I'm ready for eating outside, not huddling by the fireplace.
I'm ready for tanning! Not my pale whiteness!
I'm ready for heat! Not cold!
I'm ready for late nights outside, not in someone's basement.
I'm ready for windows rolled down, not up and heat cranking!

I'm ready to say every day, "It's SO HOT!", instead of "Brrrr!"
I'm ready to tote around a huge, cold water bottle, not a hat and gloves.
I'm ready to go outside just because I can, and not come back in with my nose hairs frozen!
I'm ready to suck on ice chips, not cough drops.

I'm ready for cool mornings and warm evenings.
I'm ready for cloudless, warm skies.
I'm ready for the sun to greet me with heat.
I'm ready for the flowers to come back.
I'm ready to live.

Thoughts and Meanders

It's been a while since I posted anything... I've been in a state of intense meditation. Ha, of a sort.
Isn't it funny how, at one point in time, something can look so appealing, so beautiful you just have to have it...

And then when you've had a chance to experience it... Taste it, hold it, claim it as your own...

It's not really what you wanted.

I've had this experience many times...

Only one thing has never disappointed..

I'm a restless spirit. I know what I ultimately want, anything that hinders my progress is either a distraction or thorn in my side.

Is it just me?


I need to ground myself. Focus on what really matters. Will I be happy 5 years from now if I continue this way?

Remember who loves you the most, out of anyone in this entire world.
